Communion Concrete is owner-run. The person who answers the phone, walks the lot, and finishes the slab is the same person — and he won't pour without a plan for the water.
Jose's rule: the ground goes first.
Jose started Communion Concrete with a single conviction: flatwork lasts when the ground under it was read correctly, and fails when it wasn't. Concrete is permanent the moment it cures — which means every important decision happens before the truck arrives. The slope. The base. Where the water goes.
That's why the first step of every job is Jose standing on your lot, reading it — not a number over the phone. Fresno's ground changes street to street: much of town sits on loam over a cemented hardpan that water can't pass through, while other yards are nearly pure sand. A contractor who doesn't look can't know which one is under your driveway. Jose looks.
The name is a statement of how he works: the job is done with you — the lot walked together, the plan shared in writing, the finished work walked together before it's called done.

Our standards
Read before you pour. Every lot gets walked and every slope gets planned on paper. The most expensive mistakes in concrete are the ones made before the concrete exists.
Say it plainly. The scope says what's included and what isn't. The schedule says when. If something changes, you hear it from Jose — not from silence.
Stand on the work. The last step of every job is a walk-around together. If the ground doesn't match the paper, that gets fixed before the job is called done.
Keep the schedule honest. We work by appointment, Friday through Sunday. That's stated up front because it shapes your job's calendar — a real schedule kept beats an optimistic one broken.
Working with us, start to finish
You request a free on-site estimate. Jose walks the lot with you and reads the slope. You receive a written scope with the slope-and-drainage plan. You approve it, the job gets scheduled into weekend work blocks, the pour follows the plan, and you get photos along the way. It ends the way it started — the two of you on the concrete, checking it against the paper.
